BHEN takes the weight
of your instrument off your body and puts it on a floor stand. Your instrument
rests against your leg without the need for a seat strap, shoulder harness or
neck strap. BHEN allows you to move naturally with your instrument. BHEN can be
used with a load balancer if desired. BHEN is also available with CASSI, the
optional counter balance which fits under the feet of your chair and allows you
to position your instrument in the perfect playing position without holding it.
Using BHEN with the counter balance eliminates top-heavy bassoon problems. A
BHEN lets you play even while recovering from any injury. |
|
When using a BHEN, the
bassoon is in the same position it would be when using a neck strap or harness.
This gives you the freedom of motion you expect when you play. The BHEN has a
cap on the top to which an arm is attached. This cap is designed to rotate
freely while the hook at the end of the arm attached to your bassoon neck strap
ring gives a familiar feel without the weight of the instrument on your neck
and shoulders. |
|
BHEN is great for
beginners. It eliminates hand, arm and shoulder fatigue. BHEN allows beginning
students to develop good technique, enjoy longer practice sessions and make
more rapid progress on the instrument. |
|
A BHEN also provides a
convenient stand for the bassoon. When the instrument is not being played, the
lanyard (included with your BHEN) is hooked onto the boot of the bassoon and
one leg of the BHEN. This allows the bassoon to be left on the stand. This
feature is especially convenient when making reeds. Simply set up your BHEN,
attach the lanyard to the base and let BHEN hold the bassoon for you. BHEN
makes finishing a reed a much simpler process. |
|
|
If your bassoon has a load balancer on it,
most of the weight can be removed from your left hand, arm and shoulder. |
|
If your bassoon does not have a load
balancer a CASSI will remove the weight and position the instrument so you do
not have to hold it to play. Using BHEN and CASSI together allows the player to
play naturally |
|
The CASSI is a counter balance which is put
under the legs of the chair. The lanyard which is used with BHEN is unhooked
from the leg of the BHEN an hooked on the slide adjustment on the CASSI. |
|
|
BHEN and CASSI combine
to eliminate the need for a neck strap. The BHEN and CASSI support system
reduce neck and shoulder fatigue. It also allows younger, smaller players and
older or injured players to comfortably play the bassoon. |
|
BHEN and CASSI allow
you to play while recovering from an injury. |
|
BHEN and CASSI allow
longer, more productive practice sessions with less fatigue. |
|
BHEN and CASSI assist
in reed making by holding the bassoon for you. |
