| Place the CASSI is under the feet
of the chair. |
| Place your bassoon on the BHEN and
adjust the lanyard. Tilt the BHEN so the bassoon is resting on your thigh in
your normal playing position. |
| Move the lanyard hook from the
BHEN to the loop on the slide of the CASSI. |
| Adjust the length of the
lanyard to control the angle of the bassoon. |
| To adjust the length of the
lanyard squeeze the cord lock and slide it up or down until it is a comfortable
length. |
| Shorten the lanyard to move the
position of the reed toward you. |
| Lengthen the lanyard to move the
position of the reed away from you. |
| Adjust the angle of the reed by
moving the slide on the CASSI. |
| Adjust the slide forward on the
rod to moves the position of the reed to the left.

| Adjust the slide backward on the
rod to move the position of the reed to the right. |
| To adjust the slide,
loosen the knob to unlock it, move the slide along the rod and tighten the knob
to lock it again. |
By using these
adjustments, the bassoon can be positioned for play and will remain there when
you release it. NOTE:You still have the ability to
take complete control of the bassoon and move forward, backward and to the
side. |
